About me

I’m Rach, a 27 year old technical writer living the lovely little city of Bristol.

p1030229Having lived most of my life in Ireland, I moved to Bristol for work and family four years ago.

In my spare time, I love, love, love nothing more than lacing my trainers up and pounding the pavements, getting some lengths in at the pool or lifting some very heavy things at the gym.

Over the years, I’ve run 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, a Tough Mudder and 2017 is the year of the triathlon and – finally – a marathon! I’ve partnered up with brands such as Decathlon, MyProtein and Great Run in the past – so am always open to hearing about new opportunities. Get in touch!

  1. Ohhhh Limerick. We’re in Wicklow, moved over from Liverpool, UK, 6 years ago. I agree, it is so hard to adapt! And expensive to try and socialise to meet new people. At least running’s free 🙂

      1. Yeah, I’m training to my first half marathon in August. It’s hard going but I’m hoping I’ll keep at it. Blogging keeps me motivated.

    1. Hey that’s great. I’m excited to follow your progress, and relieved that someone else is in the same boat! It’s hard work but I’m sure we’ll both get there!

    1. Hey Niall,

Really glad to hear you enjoyed the blog – and I shall definitely give that a listen over my morning brew!

I could go on for a lifetime debating Barry’s vs Lyons, but living in England has thrown Yorkshire tea in too – whole new ball park!

      Cheers for reading 🙂

  2. Ha ha, true, true Rachael. It will never be settled. Like choosing between De Niro or Pacino, we should just be happy we have both…
Yorkshire tea, eh? Must see if I can get my hands on some of that – hope it doesn’t make me too blunt 🙂
    All the best,
